...cut out wire from a strainer, then wrap wire around the rim in a bowl shape in a grid shape (weaving over-under if desired)
........or attach "chicken wire" or hardware cloth to rim, etc, or use alone

...can just cut out/remove some of the plastic strips/dividers in a regular plastic scooper with strong scissors or utility knife or  Dremel, etc, to make slots/holes larger
